OK, mGalaxy is minimized in the taskbar...but if you maximize it, does it respond? I mean, can you browse the games list, for example?

If you've installed the latest version of mGalaxy, you should know that this 'hidden' setting is present in the official version.
You need to open the 'mGalaxy > Data > Preferences ...

I'm not familiar with this joystick...if it's a dual joystick, perhaps the second one is listed in the ‘Gamepad 2’ tab?

Ok Weird, your version works in my downloads folder so I thought maybe i'de take my 2 versions and plop them in the download folder and see what happens. but they still don't work. I though maybe it was something with my external drive that I had them on was screwing them up but I guess not... So ...

I can't reproduce what you're explaining.
Could you please download this portable version of mGalaxy.
It's configured and contains a few internal roms for testing.

There is indeed an update planned....in fact I'm working hard on it, but here's the situation:
to support new systems, such as XBox 360, in an optimal way, I decided to refactor part of the original code...and this operation is taking more time than expected...but I repeat, I'm actively working ...

Unfortunately, this has more to do with the Screenscraper and Emumovies databases than with mGalaxy.
