Sorry but I'm here once again...
Seems like it's not possible anymore - as it was - adding missing data manually from the DB Edit tab, despite what the tutorial says:
https://mgalaxy.com/helpcenter/mgalaxy_ ... -database/
The games in the list cannot be dragged and dropped on a browser in order to search media - or, once again, am I missing something?
Adding missing data to the database?
No, you're not missing anything. Since the update to version 10—and especially since it became available on macOS—this feature is no longer included.
Why do you need it? Are there cases where scraping from ScreenScraper and Emumovies doesn’t yield results?
If you’d like, I could add this feature, but unfortunately it won’t be drag-and-drop anymore:
- In Runway, a button would open a web page with a search for the game
- In the browser, you’d have to right-click on the image of your choice and select “Copy Image URL”
- Back in Runway, another button would let you download the image whose link is in the clipboard

Ok, thank you for your clarification!
I thought I wasn't able enough to understand how to manage that after a couple of years
However, I would suggest you then to edit your documentation pack, since the page I linked with the (now expired) instructions for adding media manually is last updated 4 months ago, so it looks like this option is alive and kicking, but it isn't anymore.
As for your question, I think that the manual editing of the database was/would be very useful, in order to:
1) Choose, when needed, better quality screenshots/media - most of them downloaded by scraping are blurry/lowres
2) Easily complete the database for non-matching results - e.g. homebrew/more recent roms, roms with fuzzy names, or simply missing entries
3) Easily rename entries when needed (I guess this can be managed via Import/Export databases, but modifying directly on DB Edit would be faster)
4) Complete the database by dragging and dropping media from one's personal media collection - instead of renaming the files
Thanks for asking!
