Hi!
Trying to setup all my systems, and as per the post subject, Model 2 roms do not start. The emulator pops up, but roms aren't launched.
I did setup the Emulator.INI file as suggested:
;Add your rom directories here (max 10)
;ROMS subdirectory in the same folder than the exe is always scanned when searching for roms
;(remove the ; form Dir1)
[RomDirs]
Dir1=d:\emulatori\sega model 2\roms
Any suggestions?
Furthermore, is there a way to have proper game names? After scraping, all Daytona USA close are named "Daytona USA", with no differences.
Thank you in advance again for your support!
Gianluca
Model 2 roms not launching
I just checked... and everything is working as it should!
The only thing you actually need to do is specify the ROM folder within ‘M2emulator_1.1a’ itself.
Also, note that there's an application called ‘m2_configurator_v0.0.2’ (which needs to be placed in the emulator folder)...that lets you make this setting (and others).

I did update the program and added also M2 Configurator, but still with no results.
As soon as I launch a game, emulator opens but doesn't load the rom - see attachment.
Looks like some kind of miscommunication between mGalaxy and the emulator, but I can't figure out what's wrong...

Is your ROM set correct? (I'm surprised to see the same game appear multiple times in your screenshots.)
I used this link (successfully) to TEST the ROMs:

My romset had clones/versions in different zips - as Mame works. I got it long time ago, can't remember where it comes.
However, i did as you suggested, deleted the old system and created a new system from scratch, using emulator and romset from the link you sent, but with no results.
Please note that the emulator in itself work perfectly, it gets stuck only when launched from mGalaxy.
AI gives this suggestion:
mGalaxy uses preset scripts for each emulator. You must ensure that it sends only the filename, without the extension.
• Open mGalaxy_Runway (the mGalaxy configuration software).
• Go to the tab for the Sega Model 2 system (or the name you assigned to it).
• Check the file-handling field: ensure that mGalaxy is set to send only the filename (Base Name / %BASENAME%) and NOT the full path (%FILEPATH%) or the .zip extension.
• Note: In mGalaxy, the native command line for Model 2 is usually already configured to send only the correct variable. If you see options to modify the arguments, ensure that the argument used is free of any file extensions.
Or, alternatively, to create a batch file.
Can this be?
