Found this link :

I am using MAME 1.67, downloaded the xml file from the link and now I have my database.

But I still have the issue of not being able to see the art work for each game.

Which emulator are you trying to set-up? MAME ?
Did you take time to read the tutorial there?:
http://www.mgalaxy.com/tutorial_mGalaxy.html

Yes and even downloaded the two ini files.
The video itself shows how to use it but only after it is set up which is still in progress.

Creating a DB still doesn't work, I have to use the default ROM path.

The next step is getting the artwork to appear.

The Snap Path was set to the location.

I have tried by creating the database and by using the default ROM path but in neither case does the artwork appear.

Any suggestions?

Oh, one more thing that I noticed. The xmlout.xml file appears with the timestamp for todays date but the size is 1KB and its essentially empty.

Finally had time to go bet back to this.
Apparently when I clicked "Create database", I was not opting to build it from existing ROMs.
As a result the database was blank.
I am now able to see a list.

If your mame configuration is correct the prb can come from filter from preference option (left shift key).
Can you make a ScreenShoot with your mame configuration (emulator config in mGalaxyRunaway)

1- For the key mapping, you can see it in mGalaxyRunaway, in a special tab (and you can configure it)
2- IDK what you have do, perhaps a filter problem (eg : if you have activate by error "show only favorite" key)

Filters returned an empty game list

When I first ran mGalaxy Runway I wrongly configured under the Microsoft EMU Paths.
This resulted in the obvious "Filters returned an empty game list" error when running mGalaxy.

After reading through some notes, it was discovered that Multi-system[MAME] should have been used.

When running mGalaxy I noticed there were two options. One for Microsoft and another for MAME.
When selecting MAME a list of games appeared.

After going back to mGalaxy Runway, I deselected the Microsoft Activated button so that MAME is the only one visible in mGalaxy.

Now when I run mGalaxy it shows "Filters returned an empty game list".

A few questions :
1 - Since I am running on my PC, what is the current key mapping to interface with mGalaxy?
2 - I previously saw a list of games, what step needs to be done to see the list of games again?
