ok,

It seems a very good project. If we can gather information like genre, nplayers, year, clone, etc, we could build databases like MAME has.
This tool will also be compatible with the different DAT format (for importing ?) tosec, etc

regards

greenaway,

First, thanks for you feedback which is really appreciated!
I'm working on a simple but powerful database creator/editor which will allow to grab info from (at least) 2 web databases (thegamesdb.net & giantbomb.com)...unfortunately for you this is not finished yet so I'm afraid that in the meanwhile you'll have to edit the xmlout.xml file manually!

How to generate a database
« Reply #1 on: September 17, 2015, 04:51:03 AM »
Hello,

Congratulation for FE. Easy to set-up, nice features for game searching filtering, nice themes and video snap feature.

I had to rename my N64 roms to the "No-Introw" standard to suit the database included
in mGalaxy.
Nevertheless, my roms are still not all shown on the mgalaxy screen.
In fact when you have a look inside, it seems the "xmlout.xml" database is not up-to-date.
Ex: xmlout.xml includes only "Banjo-Kazooie (USA) (Rev A)" but official no-intro includes 3 versions ...

How to generate a new xmlout.xml from official without loosing the Genre info ?

Thanks in advance.
