It wouldn't be a bad idea to support some widescreens resolutions (specially 720p and 1080p one, for people using it on a TV).

Yeah at 1080p res, there is a lot of wasted space! I would like to have an image and a video display, plus a paragraph description describing the game I have selected. Instead of just seeing the name of the game in the folder.

For example..

I currently see:

tmnt, a pic, and a video. No more.

I would like to see:

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles The Arcade Game or a PNG graphic logo instead; Description: TMNT, is a side-scrolling beat-'em-up released by Konami as a coin-operated video game in 1989. It is based on the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series which began airing in the winter of 1987. The original coin-operated game was distributed to the arcades in two variants: a standard 2-player version that allowed either player to choose their character and a deluxe 4-player version with each player controlling a different character. Home versions of the game were released for various platforms.; a pic; and a video.

Yes, this is not a bug! ;)
Actually, mGalaxy (at least in v1.0) is based on a 800*600 definition grid.
The application enlarge (or shrink) by itself with other definitions...BUT the aspect is always conserved.
(the ratio is 1,333 like: 800x600, 1024x768, 1152x864, 1280x960)
This is the reason of those black border.

In future version (and if users want it!!) mGalaxy could accomodate any screen resolution, displaying more info on larger screen for instance (ex: more items in the list) and adapting the surface to the resolution instead of simply scaling.

Is using a 1280x960 resolution a kind of solution to your problem?

Cheers,

Hi, noticed yesterday but if your using mgalaxy in 1280x1024 you get a black border and the app doesnt fill the entire screen.

Is that normal?
