Title: Multi Version mames

I am using the .201 mame set and am trying to get "The Simpsons" too work correctly.  My problem is that there are multiple versions of the game (4 player, 2 player) and the 4 player is the version loading.  Is there anyway to select which version of the game loads up at start?

I'm not sure to understand!? Each version should correspond to a different rom (and rom name) so you 'simply' have to launch the one you want! What am I missing?

There is only one zip file. In the zip file there are five folders along with the rest of the roms required files.  The separate files, (I'm guessing) correspond with the different versions.   I'll attach a screen shot of the files.   They problem is that with the four player versions I can't select a character, I can in the two player versions.

This is because you're using "merged roms" set (by opposition to "split roms" set).
mGalaxy works with split roms set.

Ahhhh.  Okay,  I'll working on splitting those up.  Still new to mame.  Thank you.
