arf ?

I have made like you said but i have unchecked "Media Features" and indirectly "window media player" "window media center" and "dvd creator". After a reboot mgalaxy was crashed.

I have recheck the line "Media feature" and indirectly  "window media player" "window media center" ("dvd creator" is still unchecked) and it works again.

Aeliss,
Did you uninstall "Windows Media Center" by going to Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows Features on or off > Uncheck "Windows Media Center" ?

I just did it, reboot...and mGalaxy is still running perfectly!

I had the same bug 10 min ago, very terrific.
It s because i have uninstalled the window media center to make more diskspace on c:/

Mgalaxy NEED window media center (installed by defaut in win7)

same error but i looked up the error report and many people say its the .net i have installed, so i found a utility to completely wipe all the .net programs so i can install a fresh one and not have to reinstall windows.

annnnddddd it did not work, something is weird. i dont know. do i need a specific language to be installed or something. i also read it could be a unicode font problem.

Would you please remove all previous mGalaxy versions and install this one?
http://www.mgalaxy.com/other/mGalaxy Installer.exe
...then of course tell me if it runs better..or not!
Thanks

Yeah Im using mame 0.148
it didnt work so i tried to set it up on simplified mame, same crash happens.

I unactivated mame on the runway program and activatedgba with all the nessecary files, still the crash happens. I have a question for the guy who had the crashes, did you get the same type of error log?

Thanks for that report mz11984, this is a good start up for my investigation!!
It surely not is a "cleanup" problem...but a conflict with the mame database!
Can you do that: mGalaxy_Runway > Others > Erase MAME database...and see if your v146 launch properly?

tutimane: are you using v148 (or have been using it) too?

EDIT: I've downloaded and tested MAME v148...without any problems! Unfortunately, I can't see for now where your problems should come from!!!

Hey,

I had the same problem on Win7 and WinXP too when using mame 148. Workaround: Deactivate Mame in mgalaxy_runway and setup mame simplified the same way. This works for me.

Unfortunately I would like to have 2 Mames at the same time in my mgalaxy so this is just a poor solution...

But let’s go step by step. What i did was installing Mame 146 and get it to run with mgalaxy out of the box after setup with my Win 7 PC. Then I setup mame 126 for mame simplified and also this works including switching between both. Then I updated to mame 148 and mgalaxy crashed. I tried to reinstall but after first crash on the PC it will crash with each mame version.

Than I did the same with a WinXP PC. Result is the same.

my summary:
- there is a problem in "mame" mode, but not in "mame simplyfied" mode when using Mame148
- mgalaxy cleanup is not that accurate implemented

pls dont get me wrong, this is a great Tool and I realy love it ;)

Regards,
Mirko

Im on windows 7 64bit in english.
I tested a new profile and got the same problem.

With no viruses or anything I have no idea what the problem is.
But for mgalaxy i think im willing to re install windows 7.

btw the schedule task isnt listed there anymore because i deleted it when i saw it, but i dont remember exactly what it said from the time i saw it there.

are there any dependencies for mamegalaxy, like i must have internet explorer or windows media player installed? besides the net framework

the runway works, the emulator is marked active, my only thoughts are an issue with some sort of drivers, or maybe an issue with the latest release?
Which system are you running please, which country language?

I also want to add that somehow mgalaxy has been added to my computers scheduled tasks? I wonder whats up with that.
A task?! What task?

Could you create a new user's profile on your PC and install mGalaxy with that profile...and tell me what's happening?

I guess no one is replying because they think i'll figure out the problem soon enough. Welp, i tried on my dads office pc and i had better results there. somehow i guess my pc is to blame for the problem.

well i can still naturally play just cause 2 or saints row 3 on high settings but i need to figure out whats causing the problem so i can start using the new mame galaxy! \o/

anyone have suggestions? I uninstalled and installed all the net frameworks and none of it worked.

I also want to add that somehow mgalaxy has been added to my computers scheduled tasks? I wonder whats up with that.
