Title: Edit Shutdown wait time?
Post by: gonzojoey on February 02, 2012, 03:43:42 PM
Is there a way to edit the Shutdown wait time so that it doesnt default to 30sec? I'm trying to run MG as a shell in WinXP, so the OS would be virtually invisible. But when I exit MG (and I have it set to exit OS on exit), I get the 30sec shutdown timer window from the OS. Can we edit the shutdown command being sent from MG so that its more like "shutdown -s -t 01" or something like that? Dont want to ruin the effect of no OS by having the Shutdown warning box display.

in the old version mGalaxy there was no such problem

I use Windows XP SP3 in my Arcade Cabinet.

The 'shutdown on quit' function is adapted to be immediate in v2.1.
No more countdown.

Wow, thats great! Thanks.
By the way, I really like your frontend and look forward to the next release.
Thanks for all the hard work you've put into this project.

Just replying to this message to confirm for everyone that the Shutdown works perfectly now in the newer version. When I exit mGalaxy, I get a quick dos box flash, then the PC shuts down. I'm running TinyXP, so it takes less than two seconds for the machine to shutdown after exit, which is great. Thanks again for changing this in the new version!

I take the opportunity of that post to give you that info (ok, it's just a detail ;-) : the DOS Box won't appear AT ALL in mGalaxy v2.2
