Title: Custom database for MAME?
Post by: yamzzz on March 23, 2014, 12:18:04 PM
Is it possible to use something like RomLister (http://www.waste.org/~winkles/ROMLister/) to generate a very custom database and import that into mGalaxy? I don't know if the mGalaxy xml format is the same as any others. I know RomLister can produce quite a few variants for other front-ends like HyperSpin and Mala. Is there any hope of mGalaxy compatibility with those files?

Thanks!

I think yes, MGalaxy work with database created by Mame, and mame works too with database made with Romlister.

I"m in touch with the RomLister creator: an mGalaxy output will be added to his application in a few days (normally!!) :-)

Here is a link to a mGalaxy compatible RomLister version! (you'll see 'mGalaxy' in the dropdown menu at export)
