Sure! Call the 'Menu' window (default key is LeftShift on keyboard) and switch the 'Available roms only' button on (default key is '1' key - not the '1' on numeric pad). Then exit this window (default key is '2' key - not the '2' on numeric pad)

I am finding that if i generate the MAME games database using MAME's integrated database, I get a list of all games in a format that can be read (i.e. Donkey Kong (Japan)). However, every game MAME supports is in that list, regardless if the ROM is in the ROMs folder or not.

If I generate the list only from the ROMs in the ROMs folder, I only get the shortened names in my list (i.e. 'qbert', 'dkong').

Is there a way to generate the full names of the games as is done with the first option but only display the names of the games for which there are actual ROM images in the ROMs folder?
