Upgrade 5.5 to 6.0 tips?

Sure! The database isn't compatible with the previous version! That's the place where there's the more updates!! ;-)
You have to generate a new database for mame!!

Excellent, but I think the problem is that the 6.0 isn't picking up the rom database, I copied the files over but it isn't showing any games, I pointed the files the same way as 5.5

You're right..there aren't instruction to upgrade from v5.5! (this is the last version that won't help migration from a previous version...promised!!)
I hope that you still have your mGalaxy v5.5 folder available on your disk!?
In that case, your favorites aren't lost! You will have to copy paste theme from 'old' folder

example: "mGalaxy v5.5\Data\Multi-system [MAME]\favorites.ini"

to 'new' folder

example: "mGalaxy v6.0\Data\UserSystems\Multi-system [MAME]\favorites.ini"

For your keyboard shortcuts, you could copy/paste the codes themselves (not the entire line!) from

"mGalaxy v5.5\Data\Systems.xml"

to

"mGalaxy v6.0\Data\Settings.xml"

...but I discourage you to do so and in my opinion you'd better set it again with mGalaxy_Runway!

Hi I have everything setup the way I like it in 5.5 (Game fav list, controller setting etc.)  but I do not see an easy way of upgrading to 6.0.  When I did, all settings were lost.  Am I doing something wrong, I didn't notice any instructions to upgrade to 6.0?
