Pin Cab with 37" ... That will be very nice !
I will build a Pin Cab too, maybe at the end of this year.
Do you use FP for this ?

First, now i am happy with my (second ... the first i have sold it 2012) Arcade/Pin Cab,
here my demo movie about the new one:

And of course, with mGalaxy  ;)

I know, there are 2 Original Indiana Jones Tables ... i have found it at PinSimDB, thanks.
I have tested the "Pirates of Carribean" on FP ... WOW ... excellent Audio and Visual - Effekts !

Yes, a must have for mGalaxy + a selfmade Arcade Cabinet with Side-Flipper-Buttons (or Pinball Cab).

Now that you've mentioned it... I'm currently about to build myown virtual pinball cabinet with a 37" lcd as a playfield ;)

As far as I know, there is only one original table that's been made in 1993 by Williams. This table is recreated to the last detail in Future Pinball. Frankly I did not know there exists another table of Indiana Jones. It probably a custom table made by some user that is based on indiana jones theme.
Check out www.gopinball.com for more info regardin FP tables.

Hi,
my favorite is Visual Pinball/pinMAME, but the FP looks good too,
i will try it,

thanks !

Yeah, visual pinball is great and I've been using it side by side with Future Pinball. For any future pinball tables check http://www.pinsimdb.org/ ... You'll find great tables like Medieval Madness, Indiana Jones, Addams Family etc recreated for future pinball. IMHO, FP has got awesome graphics and with the newest 2.5 engine is quite close to the real deal.

Yep, I figured it out after I wrote the post :) Hopefully the new version of mGalaxy is gonna have Future Pinball added as a standard emulator.

Thanks for your tips!!

Just one thing:
The application path being given by mGalaxy_Runway, you don't need to write it into the 'Systems.xml' file. Actually, as a rule, the 'Systems.xml' file must be generic, not computer dependent!
You must be able to pass this file to anyone.

So just remove your "personal" info from it:
Code: [Select]
<Cmd id="0" name="Future Pinball" value="/open &quot;%path\%file&quot; /play /exit" />...will do the job!

Thanks for your help, this is really appreciated!!

P.S. Now that I successfully got mGalaxy working with I'm going to promote (write a post about) this frontend on gopinball.com forum and vpforums.org. Hopefully mGalaxy is going to get the much deserved attention among the pinball players. ;)

How to run Future Pinball with mGalaxy - step by step guide
« Reply #1 on: February 24, 2013, 09:24:09 AM »
Hello guys, haven't been online for a while (work, life etc...) Like I mentioned a bit earlier, I got my hands on the new version of mGalaxy and works like a charm.

Now, one more emulator I was missing was Future Pinball so I added it myself and I'm gonna share this with you guys. OK, lets go, step by step...

1. Go to you %appdata%\Roaming\mGalaxy folder and inside the folder create a new folder called "Future Pinball". You should have something like %appdata%\Roaming\mGalaxy\Future Pinball.
Inside the newly created folder add your FP logo image of your liking (use a -png file). Rename it to icon.png.

2. Now, inside the folder %appdata%\Roaming\mGalaxy you should open the file Systems.xml
 Each gaming system data is contained between <System>...</System> so after the first </System> tag add this:

Code: [Select]
<System>
    <Name>Future Pinball</Name>
    <AppPath></AppPath>
    <RomPath></RomPath>
    <SnapPath></SnapPath>
    <Emu selected="0">
      <Cmd id="0" name="Future Pinball" value="&quot;PATH TO YOUR FUTURE PINBALL.EXE&quot; /open &quot;%path\%file&quot; /play /exit" />
    </Emu>
    <Ext selected="0">
      <Suf id="0" value=".fpt" />
    </Ext>
    <Active>True</Active>
  </System>

3. In above code, change the PATH TO YOUR FUTURE PINBALL.exe to your FP path. Mine is C:\Games\Future Pinball\Future Pinball.exe .  so the line should be something like this:
Code: [Select]
<Cmd id="0" name="Future Pinball" value="&quot;C:\Games\Future Pinball\Future Pinball.exe&quot; /open &quot;%path\%file&quot; /play /exit" />
4. Save the file and close
5. Open mGalaxy_Runway.exe
6. You should see a list of emulators now containing Future Pinball too, edit the values of App Path, Rom path and snap Path to your Future Pinball paths.
7. Save, close and start mGalaxy.exe. You shoud have the option to choose a Future Pinball emulator with a list of the containing tables.

Hope it helps... cheers ;)
Any questions, feel free to post them here
