I just wanted to say that I was having the same issues with the"parameter is not valid" message.  I updated with the beta files and it's running without a hitch.  Thank you!

I see. Well, yes. With "screenscraper" and "show preview" enabled Runway updates for about 10 seconds and then just closes. No warning. And unfortunately no saving the update progress, thus starting from scratch the next time. Also: I don't see any preview images.

Those error are handled and can't make Runway crash! (they indicate the the distant XML file is corrupted)
You tell me that Runway crashes and quit!? (without any other message or window?)

Aha. When I disable the preview I don't have the crashes anymore. Enabling preview makes the scraper crash after 5 or so roms or right after getting the info every time.
That shouldn't crash at all!
Could you please do me a favor and run Runway until it crashes, then send me the file 'mGalaxy_Runway_Log.txt' (or copy/paste its content here)
You'll find this file inside the main mGalaxy folder. This file is renewed each time Runway starts, so it is important to get its content once Runway has crashed!
Thanks

But at least now I have a working solution, thank you very much!

I tried just copying those images over to my mGalaxy folder structure, but they don't show up in the front end. Is there something I could try?
The images should be dropped to the folder you've specified in mGalaxy_Runway to receive snaps (or logos, covers, ...)
By the way, there's an update to fix the problems while scraping media here: http://www.mgalaxy.com/forum/index.php?topic=1193.msg5209#msg5209

Hi,

Since crashes prevent me from updating my Amiga database with screenshots I'm looking for another way to scrape and connect my roms to the their media. I managed to get everything I need using the Launchbox front.
