So strange! I'm (again) running tests on a Windows 10 x64 PC, with a fresh mGalaxy v6.3 installation...and can't reproduce any problem (3442 zipped SNES roms are being updated smoothly for the last 20 minutes)

Could you please try to run your v6.3 version in compatibility mode (set to win 8.1 for instance)?...and report!
(How to Run a Program in Compatibility Mode : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUJjuft2yN8)

Could you check inside the event viewer  and see if you can find further details on the crash?
(How to use Event Viewer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6fP8bV5Pb4)

What kind of system (and rom extension) are you trying to update? Is it the same for all systems or did you just tried with only one?

Hi,
I just want to report that both my brother and myself experienced the exact same issue with windows 10 64bit. In our case, it was also a fresh install of the 6.3. Downloaded from the website and installed for the first time. No way to update the DB from Runway, it kept crashing regardless of the system or the server. Sometimes it crashes directly after pushing the 'update everything' button. Sometimes it works for a couple of games and then it crashes.
Like Mark we fixed this issue by installing the 6.2, it works like a charm now.
Thanks

Well that's gonna be hard to help you!
I just ran a test on both DB servers with mGalaxy...and it was a plain success!

No error message when it crashes?
Have you tried on another computer?

You're working on a Gamecube set, isn't it!?

Have you (or may you) try with another system with light rom size like Atari 2600 or NES or SNES...?
That would help me narrow the problem!

Which server have you chosen in the drop down list?
Have you tried with the other?

(Just asking in case there would be a problem with the webserver)

Hi

Tried a fresh install, set up game cube, left all settings to default, clicked on update everything, the roms get scanned as you can see the names very fast then tries to download any info and it crashes.

just get a windows pop up saying 'mGalaxy_Runway has stopped working'

Ive tried running as administrator, turning off anti virus, turning off firewall still no good

Cheers

Mark

May you try with a clean install please?
No need to delete or overwrite your previous install, you may simply make a new install in another folder.

Then try to achieve what you're looking for and report here please!
