Title: Trackball for game select?

Anyone know if it’s possible to use a trackball to scroll and select games, rather than a joystick?

Not natively, but with third application why not. ATM I have a wiimote see by my system as keyboard + Pad 360.

How your system see your trakball ? as mouse ? or as joypad ?

If it s as pad take a look at x360ce or xpadder.
From my memory Vjoy/PPjoy can convert mouse to pad.

Not sure yet. Haven't built my Trackball CP for my cabinet yet (Swappable control panels) Just something I noticed with my current CP with Tron-style setup. Trigger joystick with a spinner.

So I think it s possible, it s the easier configuration, there is tons of applications to convert joystick input in something else.
Make a try with
 x360ce > all joystick to 360 joystick
xpadder >all joystick to keyboard

Mgalaxy can work with keyboard or Xinput joystick.
