Title: Using Joystick & Buttons to control mgalaxy

Hi,
Having immense fun with my MAME setup, but im having a little problem with getting mgalaxy to recognise my joystick.
Whilst playing games, it recognises everything , all buttons and movements etc, changed buttons to quit back to mgalaxy etc
But whilst accessing the mgalaxy menu, it doesn't recognise the joystick at all??
Ive used mgalaxy runway to look at the keyboad/controller settings, but the IPAC bit is shaded out and i cannot change anything?
Im using a zero delay setup, its a sanwa AC782 set:

Anyone use this same setup?
Any help appreciated :)

On stand alone mode, are you running mame direclty with mame64.exe or a frontend like MameUI.exe ?
